The Wines in our List

Arneis: An ancient native Italian vinifera from the Piedmont region. Soft, richly texture dry white with a bitter-almond finish; great with first courses and rich pasta dishes.
Pinot Grigio:: A firmly structure white variety with a perfect balance of freshness, acidity and crisp fruit with a rich flavor; a pleasant compliment with first courses, ligth pastas and seafood main courses
Corvina: Produced mainly in the Veneto region used in Amarone wine; in which case the grapes are left to dry on straw mats, therefore concentrating the sugar and organic elements.The result is a unique rich and intense lush wine with a sweet-bitter finish suitable for hearty dishes.
Garganea: this variety which predominates in such wines as Soave produces a light and crisp austere wine that shows a clean and dry finish with a delicate fragrance. Chardonnay: widely planted in Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli produces a fresh, crisp and subtly complex wine, with elegant fruit aroma that shows lovely toasty nuances in the finish.
Cortese: The traditional white grape of Piedmont that produces dry wines of a particular refinement. Pale, delicate, dry and rather acidic wine good with seafood dishes.
Nebbiolo: Found mainly in such wines as Barolo and Gattinara is also used in a blend production of Chianti. This red variety produces a dry, full body wine rich with persistent flavors and fruit undertones.
Vernaccia: white variety mainly planted in Tuscany produces a deep golden wine strongly flavored with lovely blend of acidity and fruit.
Verdicchio: Predominant light grape from the Marques region produces a pale straw wine with green hints, it has a fine scent and a taut dryness with good fruit and acid balance.
Barbera: Grown mainly in Piedmont produces a wine deep ruby red with a vinous intense bouquet, dry yet delicate and faintly bitter finish.
Montepulciano D'Abruzzo: this red variety produces a bright ruby red with slight violet tints, dry mellow and slightly tannic.
Cannaiolo: this widely used red variety produces a deep red wine with a vinous bouquet, well balanced vigorous and tannic, when blended gives body and structure to such wines as Chianti.
Sangiovese: The mainstay of all Tuscan great wines ( Brunello, Chianti, Tignanello, etc.) produces a deep ruby and robust dry wine with pleasant delicate bouquet with cherries and chocolate undertones.
Primitivo: A close cousin to California's Zinfandel produces a red violet wine with harmonious full body and light bouquet.
Trebbiano: this light variety produces a pale light wine with some hints of green with apple undertones. A dry gentle wine also used in blending of other wines.
Malvasia: found all over Italy, this grape variety could be used for dry and sweet wines. also a component of Chianti.
